M1840 Clemen & Jung import cavalry sword with scabbard. Marked C&J on the ricasso, blade has some old rust but would respond well to a cleaning. leather and wire wrap is there but leather is missing parts from wear. This is a solid representative sword for the early collector or for the person looking for an inexpensive representative piece that iis war used. (kb40090) $565

M1840 Ames "wristbreaker" cavalry sword, no scabbard, Marked on ricasso, Ames Mfg. Co., Cabotville, 1851, Reverse marked US ADK (inspector marks), leather grip and wire wrap is solid, blade is solid but does have surface rust and minor pitting which can be buffed. This is a solid representative of a war used sword. It would make a great wall hanger or a started piece for the new collector wanting to add to his collection. You can often find a scabbard at relic shows to finish this item off. (kb0091) $475
