The Kineo was part of Admiral Farragut’s river fleet, which participated in numerous battles to include running to Forts St. Philip and Jackson below New Orleans, Battle of Baton Rouge, Battle of Fort Butler in Donaldsonville, Battle and Siege of Port Hudson, and others.
