Here is an excellent CS oval buckle, with rope borde complete with all hooks. This well made plate is typical to western armies. Kerksis plate 270. It was recently recovered in New Orleans. It has a slight hairline crack on bottom between C and S approximately 5/8 of an inch long. The plate is still solid and strong, the crack having no effect on the quality and strength of this find. The face is very smooth and free from blemishes. The photo looks as though it has specks all over it...that is from the light in the photo, this face is as smooth as a baby's bottom...Finding a CS plate at all is near impossible; finding them in this condition is incredibly rare. This is the real deal. (kb250002) $3850
